Users of electronic cigarettes have a wide choice of e-liquids ranging from balanced bottles to blends promoting taste pronunciation or vapour production. The composition of e-liquid vials focused on the production of a dense and abundant volume of vapour is based on a particular component, Vegetable Glycerin (VG) or Glycerol. These VG-enriched e-liquids are generally intended for experienced consumers looking for a sensation based on the attenuated expression of flavours.
E-liquid for more vapour: PG/VG ratio in favour of VG
The e-liquids offered for sale on the market are essentially made up of a pair of ingredients, Propylene Glycol (PG) and Glycerol, to which flavours, nicotine and additives of all kinds are added. The PG/VG ratio will directly determine the volume of vapour that will be created, and the higher the PG content of the liquid, the more intense the flavour will be with a more intense throat hit. The e-liquid for heavy smoke has a significantly higher PG/VG ratio, which physically translates into a thicker mixture to produce a voluminous and persistent vapor.
A PG/VG ratio of 60/40 will be able to generate an excellent amount of vapour without impacting the taste. The PG/VG ratio can go up to 55% while keeping a good feeling of the aromas, but beyond this value, the properties of the e-liquid will impose a relatively consequent stress on the vapouring equipment, even damaging it.
Even more vapour, e-liquid High VG
E-Liquid for coarse smoke containing a 30/70 ratio is called E-Liquid High VG, and therefore has a much higher viscosity and thickness than standard E-Liquids. Indeed, the viscosity being more aggressive due to the omnipresence of Vegetable Glycerine, the e-liquid will have to be heated with a higher temperature. The consumer is therefore recommended to equip his device with a low resistance (< 1 Ohm), otherwise the equipment will quickly become dirty.
The sub-ohm vaporization allows to produce the desired amount of vapour through the combination of a high voltage with low resistance, but requires in exchange the modification of a parameter of the e-cigarette. Caution, the application of too high a voltage can also damage the clearomizer, and it is advisable to choose a specialized clearomizer to consume e-liquids High VG.
Extreme vapour: combining mods and e-liquids
Experienced vaporisers will automatically adapt their equipment via mods if they wish to produce more smoke. By cumulating the effect of an e-liquid with a high concentration of VG with certain mods (75W battery, high-performance Clearomiseur, etc.), the vapour produced will then be more interesting in contrast to the use or consumption of an isolated product.
